On August 30th - September 5th 2010, the 35th National Old Time Country BlueGrass Festival will take place in LeMars Iowa. This is one of the largest country music festivals in the world and not to be missed by anyone who loves old time country music or coutnry music in general. There ten full stages that will allow you to enjoy and celebrate music of our rural past. For those who can arrive early on August 29th there is a Gospel Sing at Church Without Walls along with a full pot-luck dinner that starts at 6pm.
Ticket Prices
Ticket prices for the event are $15 per day or you can purchase pass for the full seven day festival for $60. Everyone under 18 is admitted FREE!
Camping Facilities
There is an RV camping facility right on the fairgounds for $12 per day if you need electricity and $8 a day if you can go without. If you have a tent you can camp at the fairgrounds for only $8 a day. The electrical sites for RV camping are on a first come first serve reservation. No reservations are taken.
Performances
What makes this an incredible country music festival is the vast number of performers. More than 600 musicians, celebrities, and performers from around the world are to attend. Here are a few of the performance stages:

All ten of these tages will run from approximately 9am to midnight all seven days. This should not be missed.
Contests
Back in the olden days a good ole' fiddle contest would always get the crowd roaring. This tradition continues at the Old Time Country Bluegrass Festival as well as a variety of other contests. Here are some of them:

As you can see there is a music contest for just about everyone. Entry fee is $5. This is so that there can be professional judges for each of the contests. Registration is in the Main Stage Building.
