The 2010 Independent Music Awards is one of the most prestigous music awards contest in the world. For country music fans and musicians this is a very important awards body to follow and consider if you are a songwriter or a country music band looking for exposure. The contest is huge. Not only do they feature music awards in many genres there are are several awards specifically for country music and country music related genres:
- Alternative Country Album & Song
- Country Album & Song
- Folk Singer/Songwriter Album & Song
- Americana Album & Song
- Cover Song
- Story Song
Great Production & Media Exposure for the winners
Unlike many contests that focus on cash and prizes, the Indepedent Music Awards focus on career building and finding the next big star. Much like the Academy Awards and other large profile award festivals there is money to be made in the prestige and the great exposure you or your band will get by participating. Winners and nominees can expect great support from industry professionals and incredible performance opportunities.
Contest Basics
The contest is $30 to enter and can be paid by check, credit card, or money order. You may enter in multiple categories but each entry will require a seperate form. At this point it is unclear to us if each of the submissions would require a $30 fee. The contest allows those submitting music to retain their copyrights.
